About Hijri Guide
Hijri Guide is a free, independent website that helps Muslims and anyone interested in the Islamic calendar check today's Hijri date, browse Islamic months, see important Islamic occasions, and find daily prayer times for any city in the world.
Who It Is For
The site is built for everyday use: checking the current Hijri date before Ramadan, confirming when Eid falls, planning around the Day of Arafah, or quickly finding prayer times while travelling. No account or installation is needed, and the site works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
How the Calendar Works
The Hijri dates on this site are calculated using the Umm al-Qura calendar, a widely used calculated Islamic calendar. Because many communities rely on local moon sighting or official national announcements, the date shown here can differ by a day from the date observed in your country. Always follow your local religious authority for official observance.
How Prayer Times Are Calculated
Prayer times are retrieved from the Aladhan prayer times service based on the coordinates of the city you choose. Times are astronomical estimates and can differ slightly from your local mosque schedule, which may use a different calculation method or manual adjustments.
Data Sources
Hijri Guide uses public services: the Quran.com API for the daily ayah, the Open-Meteo geocoding service for city search, and the Aladhan API for prayer times. Hijri date conversion runs directly in your browser.
